The Venlo greenhouse is used primarily for growing vegetables and cut flowers. The Venlo greenhouse is available in a wide range of canopy sizes and ventilation types.

Glass sizes have become larger over the course of time due to new construction techniques and a four-sided glass support. Despite these larger sizes, storm resistance has not diminished. The deck is known as a slide system, in which glass panels of 4mm thickness are slid into rod, ridge and groove (edge).

One of the strong points of these greenhouses is the wide span with a huge air buffer and the continuous ventilation which is ideal for fitting insect netting.

Wide span greenhouses are used particularly in growing pot plants.

With regard to the dimensions, the wide span greenhouse offers more space due to its larger span, varying from the standard 9.60 m and 12.80 m up to 20 m.

With the wide span greenhouse, there is continuous ridge ventilation. The ventilation area varies from 1/5 to 1/2 of the canopy area. Furthermore, the other great advantage of a wide span greenhouse is the greater penetration of light. This is due to the use of larger glass sizes, opened roof purlines and slim truss constructions among other things.

The Cabriolet greenhouse is mounted on a modified Venlo sub-structure with an aluminium canopy which can be opened up to 85%. This creates a lower temperature in the greenhouse compared to the outdoor temperature.

The Cabriolet greenhouse is suitable for growers who prefer optimum ventilation and light. The greenhouse is well-suited to hardening off crops in outdoor conditions.
